Counselors are responsible for the care of
8-10 campers (1-2 campers with developmental disabilities) per
week while building community, caring for their safety, leading
them in small group activities (Bible encounters, worship, challenge
course, games, etc.). Must be a positive role model and be willing
to carry out the program as defined in Staff Training. Counselors
may rotate through on-site program positions and will also work
on various work projects as assigned. Desired special skills
include: musical talents, arts and crafts abilities, boating
skills, or CPR and first aid certifications. Must be at least
18 years old, and a have a year of post-high school experience.

Pioneer is looking for both on-site and part
time lifeguards. Must have Certification as a Life Guard (Lifeguard
Training and First Aid AND Waterfront Life-guarding) through
American Red Cross or other American Camping Association approved
lifeguard certification. Responsible for the general safety
of all persons at the waterfront and beach areas. Duties include
life guarding, overseeing beach activities, and helping in other
support areas around camp. Must be at least 17 and be a graduated
High School senior. Minimum age to live on site is 18. On-site
staff is part of the whole camp community and assists in the
evenings with Program. If 18 and living on-site, Pioneer will
pay for lifeguard training, if re-certification is needed.

In order to provide optimal health care to
our campers and staff, Pioneer is seeking one full-time paid
nurse who will work in concert with one weekly volunteer nurse.
A “Camp Nurse” can be a physician, physician's assistant,
RN or an LPN. The camp nurse will be required to live on site;
food and housing will be provided. Immediate family will also
be covered under the food and housing provisions. You and your
family are invited to enjoy the programs and relaxed atmosphere
of this “warm place in the Son” and by serving others
here this summer, you will certainly be touching many with the
love of Christ.

May 19, 2008 through and including Sunday, August 12, 2008
(adjustments may be made for college academic year).
Kitchen and Retreat Foodservice Staff wanted with a heart of
hospitality and willingness to learn. Positions are now available

retreat season.
