Our trained counselors supervise all of Pioneer’s camps for children and teens with a nurse on duty throughout the stay.

Campers will be active through a wide variety of activities: games, arts & crafts, swimming, boating, challenge course activities, tennis, hiking, and much more. Opportunities for Bible studies, devotions, worship, campfires and singing, allow campers to grow in their faith.

Campers are housed in cabins that are equipped with indoor restroom facilities, and house two counseling staff. We encourage all to attend! Campers can be housed with a friend, or they can come and meet new ones.

June 22nd-27th -Spend A Day With Jesus - Youth In Exemplary Leadership and Discipleship

YIELD is a partnership project of Pioneer Camp and Retreat Center, the Eastern District of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and Thrivent Financial for Lutherans to bring special service learning and youth leadership opportunities to the four main regions of the Eastern District (Buffalo, NY; Rochester, NY; Pittsburgh, PA; and Philadelphia, PA).

The purpose of this initiative is to train up youth and young adults (ages 14 to 24) as leaders who will raise up regional service opportunities and ignite a passion in others to put faith into action, making 1 Peter 4:10, a reality: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully, administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

It is our hope to involve every congregation in our District in one or more of these, love sharing, life-affirming, disciple- building, faith in action, service events.
