Pioneer's Youth & Teen Programs

Our trained counselors supervise all of Pioneer’s camps for children and teens with a nurse on duty throughout the stay.
Campers will be active through a wide variety of activities: games, arts & crafts, swimming, boating, challenge course activities, tennis, hiking, and much more. Opportunities for Bible studies, devotions, worship, campfires and singing, allow campers to grow in their faith.
Campers are housed in cabins that are equipped with indoor restroom facilities, and house two counseling staff. We encourage all to attend! Campers can be housed with a friend, or they can come and meet new ones.

Papyrus

The Papyrus Camp Program for foster youth and teens.
Pioneer has expanded our Papyrus for 2010. Papyrus Camp is an outreach to those who are currently being served through the foster care system or out-of home placement programs and now also to those from inner city and single parent households.

This is the opportunity of a lifetime to enjoy a week of camp and all that Pioneer has to offer. Specially trained counselors will lead the program and a higher ratio of staff to campers are used during this program. Activities of the week will include: Games and sports of all kinds; Waterfront activities, such as swimming and boating; Outdoor Education; Team-building and Leadership Development; Life Skills and Self-Esteem Awareness; Camp-wide games and activities; Outdoor Physical Fitness Trail; Singing, campfies, and s'mores; Spending time in the Word of God; and Meeting new people and making new friends

**There will be both a teen camp session and a youth camp session running for this special week.

  Youth Service Weekend
  Sharing God's Love
  Seizing the City for Christ

The purpose of this initiative is to train up youth and young adults (ages 14 to 24) as leaders who will raise up regional service opportunities and ignite a passion in others to put faith into action, making 1 Peter 4:10, a reality: “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully, administering God’s grace in its various forms.”

It is our hope to involve every congregation in our District in one or more of these, love sharing, life-affirming, disciple- building, faith in action, service events.
